Emergency Management

In response to National security trends and concerns George Washington University Department of Nursing Education has developed a course with funding from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The National Nurse Emergency Preparedness Initiative (NNEPI) course, "Nurses on the Front Line: Preparing for and Responding to Emergencies and Disasters," is now available online. Click here!

The NNEPI is a national initiative for the advancement of education and policy related to nurse emergency preparedness. The design of the program supports the national initiative to achieve target levels of capability in protecting against, responding to and recovering from major emergencies that could affect the United States and its territories. The course trains nurses to carry out key tasks within the Protect, Respond and Recover missions.

The course uses video, animations, and case- and scenario-based activities to engage the learner throughout the interactive course. You have the option of completing the course for free or you may pay $24.00 for 6 CE's. Cross Country encourages its entire travel staff of take advantage of this timely offer.
